Magical Ride Lights Switch-On

What can you look forward to?

Join us as we switch on the lights for a magical ride on the alpine coaster in Pec pod Sněžkou! Enjoy an afternoon of Christmas carols, puppet theatre, a live nativity scene and festive craft workshops at Relaxpark. At 18:30, we'll light up the alpine coaster together – then it's time for a ride among the twinkling lights.

When and where?

On Saturday, 19 December 2026, from 16:30 to 20:00 at Relaxpark in Pec pod Sněžkou. You can visit the live nativity scene from 16:00.

The alpine coaster will be open from 10:00 to 20:00, with a break from 16:30 to 18:30 for the Christmas programme.

What's on?

• 16:30–17:00 – puppet show by the Úpice Puppet Club: Three Snowmen.
• 17:00–17:30 – welcome and Christmas songs performed by children from Janské Lázně and Svoboda nad Úpou.
• 17:45–18:15 – second puppet show: Three Snowmen and a Stove.
• 18:30 – the alpine coaster lights switch-on, accompanied by children's singing.
• 19:00 – Christmas outfit competition results. Wear a festive jumper, a Christmas hat or decorate your outfit with lights!

You can also enjoy a live nativity scene, Christmas craft workshops for children, making and baking your own trdelník – a traditional sweet pastry – and roasting sausages over a fire.

How much does it cost?

Entry to the event, the live nativity scene, puppet shows and Christmas craft workshops are free. Alpine coaster rides and trdelník making are available for an additional charge.
